THE FINE PRINT:
This is a non-club store and not directly associated with Beekeepers Association of Southwest Florida (BASF) nor Florida State Beekeepers Association (FSBA), but is operated through Denrig,
Inc by Dennis Riggs who is currently the Webmaster of BASF and of FSBA and his
motivation/objective for offering these items in his store is two-fold:
-
Offer beekeeping supplies/equipment to local
BASF members at hopefully a savings and possibly more conveniently.
Savings and convenience by allowing customers the option to "pick up"
their order (eliminating Shipping and Handling) at the monthly BASF club
meetings or by making other arrangements to pick-up their beekeeping
orders to get what they need quickly. Other savings may be possible
by the offering of smaller than standard/typical quantities through his
store rather than having to purchase larger bulk quantities in order to
get the better price.
-
To make enough money (even a profit) to cover
the set-up, accounting, organization, sales tax collection, income tax,
and all the hassles that go hand-in-hand with the operation of an online
store for profit by a corporation.
All of Sandy's (Tom Allen
Equipment) has now been sold. We collected $700.00 for Sandy...
thanks to all who helped by purchasing her items. All proceeds from
this store's sales now go to Denrig, Inc. Sales no longer go to Sandy, a percentage of sales no longer goes to BASF, and nothing goes to FSBA..
